Graz, Sommercamp

This time we went to Graz in the summer instead of winter like the last times. It was quite hot, but an amazing camp again.

Summer Camp by Dance Unity Team in Graz means there is a great programm and usage of 120% of your body and brain.
This time we were attracted by a WDSF couple ranked as number 3 in the world: Andrey Gusev and Vera Bondareva. Curiosity, inspiration and Youtube videos bubbled under our skin as we aimed to the elegant Austrian city. We hoped to have private lessons with these charismatic dancers and we were lucky to get them! Impressive and flexible Vera gave a new understanding and feeling of rotation in Samba, extending our dance character perception. Andrey's expression and artistic emotionality turned our Chacha and Jive lessons in pure fun and 100% concentration. One notices a determined Russian dance education flavour in his words: "You'd better do this exercise. If you don't, I'll give you another one and I garantee you will die" :))).
All the group lessons they hold were extremely informative and the camp topic "Attention to details" drilled down to understanding of body coordination in 4 dances: Samba, Chacha, Rumba and Jive. For us the group lessons were almost the same productive as private lesson, the information quality was really high.
Nice Salsa lesson felt like a god's blessed pause. The second dance hall was always available for free training. At the end of the first day we danced a guided final and enjoyed an amazing show of Andrey and Vera.

We are thankful to Michael Kaufmann and Dance Unity Team for organisation of such a great dance camp again. All the way we felt a warm-hearted care and sincere interest in how we feel and what we need for the best stay. This was a camp where we felt like at home.
