Every semester the ESG in Tübingen hosts a student dance ball. Every sommer it is planned to invite an experienced dance couple in order to show the high class performance to the public. In 2018 we were honored to be an invited couple for such a show.
This year we went to the ball relaxed and casual anticipating nice environment, various buffet dishes and impressive dance show.
To our surprise, the show couple cancelled the show last hours before the ball should have been started. We learnt that literally at the entrance while buying tickets at the moment when we were kindly asked to stand in for them.
A quick music search, a rash home jump for costumes and shoes, evening make-up... and we were happy to hear applause for our performance. The tradition was kept and we hope, that we maneged to motivate some more students to develope the skills in this wonderful sport art.
