In June we were honored to get an invitation for performing a big show with five dances on a wedding in Düsseldorf.
We felt a huge responsibility because such a day stays in memory forever. Everything should have been on the highest level: dance performance, atmosphere, dresses and costumes. After some time the concept was born: five dances should be totally different representing the development of feelings between a gentleman and a lady, five separate but connected stories of falling in love, jealousy, gentleness, passion and joy.
We led the public from the meeting of a couple in the club shown through cha-cha-cha with elements of chair dance, through the confrontation and jealousy in Paso to harmony and joy in Rumba and Jive. Carmen and Don Hose, night club dancer and arrogant dandy, passionate samba performers and gently loving lady and gentleman - we tried to show so much different sides that every person could find something special for him- or herself. For every dance the dresses were prepared - and sewed - carefully with attention to details. We did our best - and we were glad to hear so many gratefull words at the end!
We want to thank Eliana, Evgeny and Anna for this great opportunity, for open-hearted hospitality and intriguing organisation - both newlyweds didn't know about us till the very last moment of stage preparation. DJ Sivan was very helpful in music preparation and announcing. We will remember this day as well, with the fine feeling of magic happening between people conjoined by the beauty of dance.
